How Long?

District champion is an impressive spot to hold.  Even more so, undefeated district champion.  Take that even further- three time, undefeated, district champions.  Wow.  Think back- 2007, Holy Redeemer first comes into existence.  A lot of the athletic teams struggled, getting used to new coaches, personnel, and traditions.  In the midst of all that, girl's volleyball gave HR it's first district championship.  2008- After graduating 12 seniors, expectations are lowered for the girl's team.  They answer by repeating as district champions, again undefeated.  Which brings us to 2009.  Critics said "you can't lose Brianna Dugas and expect to repeat".  Actually, I can't back that up- Brianna shared with me that she misses being on FotoFink, so I thought I'd throw her name in the mix.  You're welcome Bri.  In all seriousness though- sooner or later, this run had to end.  Even the Flyer's in the 70's couldn't manage the "Hat Trick in '76", and we all know that they were the greatest sports dynasty ever.  (I can't back that up either, but I'd welcome the opportunity to argue the point.)  These girls, however, suffered no such lapse.  You know- you were there.  The only question that remains is how long can this continue?

Just a brief blog post for this- too much to do.

Game pics are here.

FotoFink is here.

Enjoy!
